The hexagonal top part of the mat is made of a softer material than other mats I have gotten. It also doesn't have extra little bumps on it that the others have. If your cat has sensitive feet or doesn't like the texture of other mats, you should give this one a try. The mats catch litter well and it's easy to pour out what they catch.
They come folded, so you will need to put something on them for a while to flatten them out. They are relatively small mats, so you want to make sure that your cat will actually step on them while getting out of the litter box. If your cat hops out, they could easily jump past the mat.
These worked well at slowing the amount of litter on the surrounding linoleum floor. While my cat was dying he still wanted to jump on the sink even though he'd fumble on the way down, so I put the second mat down where he could land on it since it's got a cushioned feel to it. The litter will start to spill if you tilt the mat while picking it up so keep it flat until ready to pour it out. The mat stayed in place, no sliding experienced.
This is by far my favorite kind of kitty lite mat. It is perfect sized to fit your cats liter box on it and still have enough in front to catch the fallout. When its time to clean up, you just dump what made its way into the mat, back into the liter box. You can easily clean these off with soap and water, and rinse them down in the shower and let it dry.

Ok, my first impression in the week that I’ve had this mat in my house is ……why I waited too long to get it, I use a natural wood litter (oko), and the tracking was everywhere, before this mat I used to vacuum the area 3 times a day, now since I have this mat I vacuum maybe every other day.
I had a similar mat that came with litter box. I wanted an additional, similar mat to keep excess litter more contained. It works great and gives cats more area to clean their feet. Works really well and it does what it's supposed to do.

This mat is clever! Excellent way to keep the litter in one area and not have it tracked all over the house. We are very happy with this! Small size makes it easy to use and it is easy to empty when needed.
This product works exactly as advertised; my cats even like to use it as a scratch pad.
